"If You Will Only Trust Me"

We live in such a crazy world. So much is going on, even at this moment. Even within your own life, you may feel like God has given you more than you can bear. I want to remind you that God sees and knows all. He is the author and finisher of our faith. He knows beginning to end. He knew before anything ever happened. When we’re frustrated, confused, hurt, and ready to just give up, God is saying, “If you will only trust me…”

Every time I write one of these posts, I feel like I’m preaching to and for myself, but I believe God is allowing me to go through different emotions so that I’m able to speak from experience. Literally just hours before writing this, I was so frustrated and just tired of everything. Have you ever been so busy to the point you feel like your to-do list is never-ending? Even with a break from work on the weekends, I’m still like, “what is a break?” I always find myself working on something and I was just praying to God because I felt overwhelmed. I was tired of thinking about my future. I was tired of finishing one task and then worrying and stressing about the next one. Then a song that had been on my heart for about a week popped in my head…

God: “Kiryn, I know life is crazy right now. You’ve got a lot going on, but I need you to trust me.”

Lately, I haven’t been actively spending time with God like I normally do. And because I didn’t maintain that connection, Satan snuck right on in and messed with my thoughts and emotions. Listen, in order to trust anyone, a relationship needs to be established, right? In order to maintain that trust, you gotta maintain that relationship. It’s the same thing with God. When we’re going through difficult times, He wants us to trust Him. But in order to do that, we need to communicate with Him, spend time with Him, and get to know Him better so that we can trust Him. We weren’t meant to fight our battles alone. In fact, He said He’d fight our battles for us. Remember that God is always with you. He will never leave you. I always say before you go and vent to someone, vent to God first. He is patiently waiting for us to turn to Him in prayer whenever we’re facing tough times. He sees us. He knows our struggles. Even when we feel like He may not understand, we have to remind ourselves that He sent His Son Jesus to this Earth. Jesus experienced so much here. The Bible tells us about the many trials Jesus endured. He went through so much more pain than we ever will. (Hebrews 12:2-4) Don’t forget that Jesus is God, so He is not oblivious to our pain. He knows and understands exactly what we’re going through, so why not trust Him? He has the power to strengthen and deliver us out of any situation. If only we will trust Him to do so.

Let’s spend some time with God today. Let’s read more of His word so we can know Him better. Let’s get to know Him better so we can learn to trust Him with anything and everything.

Be encouraged today.

I love you, but most importantly, God loves you too!

Peace & Blessings,
